The arrangement is intended for on-site assembly of a tank, particularly for liq. storage. The cylindrical part of the tank consists of a number of part-cylindrical sheet metal segments of different lengths each provided with angle brackets (2) welded to the outside along their edges. Corresponding brackets (2) of adjoining segments are bolted (5) together on assembly after which the butting edges of these segments are connected by an internal weld seam (3). The domed top and the bottom may be connected in a similar way.
