This electrically heated chair, suitable for invalid or aged persons, has a wooden base (1a) and back (1b) with metal springs (2) covered by layers of padding (3 and 4) which is in turn covered by a low current electric blanket (5). The electric blanket is covered by Dacron (RTM) wadding (6) and the outer cover (7). The temperature is controlled by a standard electric blanket regulator (9). The same principles can be applied to a divan bed or wheel-chair. Loose cushions can be used if each is supplied with a safe plug and socket connector.
