Optical-medical measurement test strip positioning - using pressure piston operated by spring via cam diol

An arrangement for positioning and holding a test strip for optical medical measurement enables very accurate measurement results to be achieved. The housing (20) has a receiving opening (2) for the test strip (1). The opening has a stop (3) on its inner end. A pressure piston (9) held in its end position by a spring moves in the axial direction towards a window (10) in front of the test strip. The piston spring (5) acts on the piston via a cam disc (6). The remote end of the spring is attached to a swivel axis (25) lying in the same plane as the cam disc (6) axis (7) of rotation. The cam disc is operated by the test strip. When the disc completes its rotational travel it operates a switch which turns on the optical measurement device.
