<p>The skip container for a tipper lorry has the skip mounted on a separate frame which is connected to the lorry chassis with detachable couplings. One of the couplings forms the coupling plate on the chassis to take articulated trailers. The skip frame has a lifting ram between it and the skip, with hydraulic couplings to the power unit on the chassis. The lorry can be used for skip/container work as well as towing an articulated trailer. The skip is lifted clear of the chassis by integral struts and has a detachable pivot axis to clip to the chassis during tipping.</p> |
