<p>The cooking plate has magnetic rings or chips incorporated in the surface of the electrically heated cooking plate to accelerate the cooking process when the cooking plate is used with iron or steel pans. The magnetic rings or chips are distributed over the surface of the cooking plate so that they maintain the full area of the base of the pan in contact with the cooking plate for max heat transfer to the pan contents. The cooking plate is designed to allow the control setting for the plate to be set at a lower value for the same rate of heat transfer than if a normal working plate was used, thus providing a saving in energy.</p> |
