Leakproof and positive joint of for a corrugated hose has portions engaging with the hose needing no special tools for fitting or removal and are re-usable. These portions are dimensioned to suit the different standard sizes of PTFE or metal hose, and are of conventional shape on the union side, being of materials necessary to suit the pressure and temp. conditions etc. Where woven wire or other material is used to withstand the pressure and/or as an outer cover, this is fully engaged in order to transmit the load, the external taper on the mounting ring and the internal shape of the hose grip clamping the woven material between them.
