Data transmission station remote controlled power supply - uses clock pulse generator to monitor recognition frequency oscillator at reserve supply station

The power supply system uses symmetrical lines to connect amplifier stations, using phantom circuits for a control system. Each station includes a recognition signal oscillator which is used in a fault locating system. The different signals for the different stations are monitored at a central station with a system of filters for separating the signals. When the supply to a station fails, a reserve supply can be brought into operation. When a supply fails, a clock pulse generator at the station is operated and used to monitor the recognition frequency oscillator of a reserve station. This monitored signal is then selectively applied to an indicating device at the central monitoring station.
