A circuit supplying power to controllable l.e.d. indicators is suitable for several such indicator elements arranged in series and uses for small direct voltages. There is a common current limiter, a controllable semiconductor parallel with each indicator element, and a measurement electronic circuit driving each semiconductor. The d.c. power consumption of the circuit is reduced considerably compared to conventional circuits. This minimises the generation of heat. The measurement electronic circuit lies on the power supply side of and in series with the indicator elements. The voltage supplied to the measurement circuit is stabilised using a Zener diode connected in parallel. The indicator elements may be arranged in a series parallel circuit which is parallel to an ohmic resistance. The resistance provides any excess current beyond the capabilities of the l.e.d.s.
|
