Personal emergency alarm unit - uses alarm generator in compact housing for protection of individual against criminal theft and assault

The emergency alarm system is designed for the protection of individuals against criminal assault. The basic unit consists of a rectangular section housing (1) that has a built in loudspeaker (2) and trigger switch (3). Within the housing is either a prerecorded magnetic tape that contains an alarm signal or else an alarm signal generator is used. The unit may be used in a variety of ways. In one mode a cord (4) is used with a clip that allows it to be attached to a briefcase handle. If snatched the cord is pulled to trigger the alarm. An alternative has the unit supported around the neck with the loudspeaker and signal generator in separate housings.
