A single-focus (monofocal) lens (12A) may be changed into a bifocal lens in a single moulding operation. It is obtained by arranging it on a bottom mould (26A) which includes a bifocal cavity (76A) and by filling this bottom mould with a resin. By arranging the lens (12A) in a position at some vertical distance from the bottom mould (26A), the resin is displaced so as to be extended between the surfaces in order to form the configuration of the bifocal lens, the bifocal part on the convex surface of the lens corresponding to the bifocal cavity (76A) of the bottom mould (26A). The processing of the resin and its cooling completes the formation of the lens. Next, the lens is removed from the mould and may be arranged in a pair of spectacles.

|
