Using this vertical suspension file, the storage of perforated and unperforated written material and microfiches is possible in the same file. The file can be written on in the same way on three sides and for this purpose has labelling zones (17, 18, 19) on the spine (3) and in the spine regions (9, 10) of the covers, (1, 2) which adjoin the spines. The file is designed in particular for use in insurance companies and in stores with purely numerical or alphanumeric labelling. The amount held in the file can be varied within a wide range, since folding grooves (12, 13) are in each case arranged between the covers, (1, 2) and the spine regions (9, 10). The pocket arranged in the interior of a cover (for example 1) and intended for the loose written material has at least one insertion slot for the microfiches. <IMAGE>
