The mould (8a, 8b, 8c) which is split into three perpendicularly to the injection axis (a) has a mould cavity (9a, 9b) in both parting planes. A sprue bush (12) leads through the first nozzle-side mould part (8a) directly into the mould cavity (9a) of the first parting plane and is aligned with a heated hot runner (31) which is provided in the third, central mould part (8c) and leads to the mould cavity (9b) of the second parting plane. A cylinder bore in which a piston (48) is guided opens into the hot runner (31) perpendicularly to the axis thereof. At a position set back from the runner wall, the piston (48) enlarges the volume of the hot runner with a corresponding pressure reduction. The emergence of injection moulded melt from the hot runner when the mould is open is thereby prevented. A displaceable valve pin (19) in the sprue bush (12) at the same time prevents the emergence of melt from said sprue bush. <IMAGE>
