PURPOSE:To obtain a mobile electrode type electric dust collector capable of effectively collecting high-resistance dust by fixing the center of both ends of a dust collecting electrode plate divided laterally in a rectangular form by means of an endless cable and moving the dust-collecting electrode plate in parallel to a discharge electrode by moving the endless cable. CONSTITUTION:A high voltage is applied between a discharge electrode 20 and a dust-collecting electrode plate 16 to form a dust-collecting region in a space where the discharge electrode 20 exists, where dust in gas is arrested at the surface of the electrode plate 16. Then, the dust-arrested electrode plate 16 is passed through the lower nondust collecting region where the discharge electrode 20 is not present and no gas is passed. And, dust adhered to the surface of the electrode plate 16 is scraped down by a dust remover 30 in the nondust collecting region in order to clean the surface of the electrode plate 16. Thus, since the electrode plate 16 is always cleaned and moved to the dust-collecting region, no reverseionization phenomenon occurs even when high-resistance dust is collected. |
