<p>PURPOSE:To prevent recorded medium from being wasted by rotating a photosensitive drum to perform charging, forming of electrostatic latent image and development, and supplying the recorded medium to agree with a timing at which the developed image reaches an image transfer position. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 11 is cleaned 35, given charge with an electrostatic charger 13, and a latent image is formed on the drum with a laser beam 15. The latent image is toner-developed with a developer 17 into a visible image and driven toward an image transfer charger 33. A recorded medium 19 according to the time during which the photosensitive drum 11 is started and the visible image comes to the image transfer charger 33 and controls so that a paper sheet feed roller 25 and the image transfer charger 33 are pressed against the photosensitive drum 11 by means of an arm 41a of a rotary solenoid 41. This prevents the recorded medium from being wasted and the photosensitive drum 11 is protected against damage caused by unnecessary friction.</p> |
