The invention refers to a procedure and a device for regulation of maximum pressure in a median pressure circle with the aid of a pre-controlled or pilot vent equipped with a pressure-limiting vent with which the incoming median pressure flows dependently, affecting the under non-rigid pretension toward the closed position of the standing pilot vent and when this is exceeded by the predetermined pretension and against the desired maximum pressure corresponding to the opening pressure of the open pilot vent, through which that then possible pilot vent choke produces a difference in pressure over the pressure-limiting vent itself in order to open it. In order to attain a good statistical characteristic in the vent function and also at the area, a relationship which is considerably greater than that of the vent is proposed. According to the invention, the pilot vent body also causes the pilot flow to be independently affected by the ingoing median pressure.
