<p>GLUE ROLLER FOR LABELING MACHINES The specification discloses a glue roller for labeling machines. The roller has a tubular support body formed by a first moulded part of foam material having sealed boundary zones and an elastic sleeve, having a cylindrical outer surface, formed by a second moulded part of elastic foam material with sealed boundary zones. The foam material of the support body has a lower elasticity than the foam material of the sleeve, and the support body and elastic sleeve are provided with interengaging projections and recesses. The support body may be foamed directly onto a hub and the elastic sleeve may be foamed directly onto the support body. This arrangement forms a glue roller which has a very long useful life and is also extremely inexpensive to make.</p> |
