PURPOSE:To perform a stabilized feeding of sealing up oil at the stipulated oil pressure even in an emergency and to prevent the drop of oil pressure as well by a method wherein an emergency sealing up oil pump and an oil pressure retaining device are provided on the exhausting side of the emergency sealing up oil pump and both of them are operated in an emergency. CONSTITUTION:In the device where the sealing up oil 16 stored in a vacuum pump 1 is feeded to the stipulated shaft sealing up section ''a'' by the sealing up oil pump for normal operation, the emergency sealing up oil pump 3 and the oil pressure retaining device 11 connected to a pressurizing device 12 are provided on the exhausting side of the sealing up oil pump 2 for normal operation. In the oil pressure retaining device 11, an interlocking means such as an electromagnetic valve is provided, and in the event when the sealing up oil exhausting pressure is dropped due to the damaged sealing up oil pump for normal operation and the like, the oil pressure retaining device 11 and the emergency sealing up oil device 3 are simultaneously operated, therby enabling the shaft sealing up section ''a'' to maintain its pressure above the prescribed value. |
