A deflection yoke for use with a cathode ray tube includes a pair of half cut separators joined together to form a complete separator, a pair of saddle wound horizontal deflection coils mounted on the separator halves and a pair of toroidal wound vertical deflection coils wound about half cut coils and assembled about the separator. The plane or separation between the saddle wound horizontal deflection coil, the half-cut separations and the toroidal wound vertical deflection coil is the same plane.
