PURPOSE:To make the cost of device low, by the constitution that laser beam is made incident to electro-optic deflector controlled with high-frequency voltage and it is emitted through rectangular aperture slit. CONSTITUTION:The light beam 13 given from a laser beam generating section 18 is incident to the crystal plate 11 of the transparent electro-optic deflector 19 such as lithium niobate providing crossing finger electrodes 12, 15. Sawtooth high-frequency voltage is applied to the electrode 15 from high-frequency voltage generating section 17. The emitting light 14 is deflected by angle theta to the incident light 13 and passes through the mask having rectangular aperture and scans on the photosensitive drum 22 via a galvano mirror 21. On the other hand, since theta is changed depending on the applied voltage, the laser beam sub-scans on the photosensitive drum 22. Since the crossing finger electrode can be mass-producted by photolithography, the device can be made with low cost. |
