A passenger chair for passenger traffic has an underframe 17, a seat portion 1 and a back rest 9. The seat portion and the back rest are constituted, without assistance from any tubular frames, by sandwich plates into which bushings are fitted for a connection link 18 by means of which the seat portion and the back rest are being kept together. A console 16, which is connected to the bushing in the seat portion, fastens this portion to the underframe. On the seat portion and on the back rest, conventional chair cushions 10, 11 may be arranged.
