PURPOSE:To utilize the input board surface more effectively, by arranging input keys so that the number of rows of them is differenet in the left half and the right half with the guide, which guides turning-over of key mats, as the center and by using one row of one half having a larger number of rows as a fixed item key row. CONSTITUTION:In code input device 1, the number of rows (six rows) of key groups in the right half with guide 3, which guides turning-over of key mats 2, as the center is larger than that (five rows) of key groups in the left half by one. One row of key groups in the right half, namely, the key row in the side edge part it used as keys for fixed them input, and these keys are operated to input fixed item information 91-916 (A-S) independently of pages of key mats. When key mat 21 is turned over to the right, unuseful hole row 5' becomes useful holes, and the space becomes (a). Meanwhile, the key mat is turned over to the left, unuseful hole row 5'' on key mat 22 becomes nearer to the side edge of the input device. Thus, wasteful spaces (a) and (b) are reduced to minimums. |
