<p>PURPOSE:To surely correct a skew and lateral position even for a sheet of paper in small thickness with low rigidity without causig a jammed state, by skewing a front end of the paper toward a direction away from a side reference wall and transporting the paper to a correction area. CONSTITUTION:In a transport passage between a pinch roller 3 and correction area 7, a guide plate 4 with suitable curvature is provided to form a turn area of paper 1. Then is accordance with its shape, both side lengths, measured along the transport passage between the pinch roller 3 and diagonal roller 6 are arranged in such a manner as to be smaller at a side provided with the side reference wall 5 than at the other side. In this way, the corner of paper 1 is gradually approximated to the side reference wall 5 not to cause a large reaction in the corner, then the whole refernce side edge is adapted to the side reference wall 5, thus correcting work of a skewe and lateral position can be surely performed without causing a jammed state.</p> |
