PURPOSE:To eliminate a restriction based on a constant-speed forward and backward movement operation of an information recording sheet due to a conventional scanning system, by moving an image sensor linearly in the direction orthogonal to a sensor array when the information recording sheet stops. CONSTITUTION:Information recording sheet 1 is fed at information line pitch P narrower than information taking-in width Wp by the feeding means and is stopped. Image sensor 3 is placed in origin A' on the focusing face first, and image sensor 3 moves in constant speed Vs in the direction orthogonal to the sensor array to scan information of scanning width Ws (=betaWp, beta is the magnification of the optical system) when information recording sheet 1 runs in speed Vf and stops after line feed; and when image sensor 3 reaches B', it is returned to A' in speed VB before information recording sheet 1 is stopped after line feed. |
