PURPOSE:To enable to visually and easily judge a characteristic of electrode by expressing the capacity of ion selective electrode by an objective numerical value by using an optional number of aqueous solution to be measured. CONSTITUTION:An optional numbers of aqueous solution to be measured of the same substance having a different concentration, are prepared and the electrode 5 and comparison electrode 6 are immersed in the first aqueous solution to be measured. Further, the potential of electrode is measured at an interval of constant time by operating the timer assembled in the electrode potential automatic measuring instrument 1 and measured value is stored in the memory 4. Then, the same measurement is performed for each aqueous solution to be measured successively and measured value is stored Next, a difference of the potential of electrode of the aqueous solution to be measured at every constant time, mean value of said difference, difference of the potential of electrode between each aqueous solution to be measured at every constant time and mean value of said difference, are computed based on each value of measurement by the computer 2 and these are outputted to the printer 3. Hereby good or bad of many characteristics such as answering velocity of the electrode, the critical concentration capable of measuring by the electrode and variation of the potential of electrode accompanied by the variation of concentration of ion, can be judged. |
