An assembly for mounting a front plate 2 on a bathtub 1 contains a lower plate fastening element 5, which is removably mounted on the foot brackets 3 of the bathtub, and an upper plate fastening element 4, which is mounted on the underside of the bathtub's rim and designed to secure the upper flange 11 of the front plate. The front plate, furthermore, is provided with extensible plate support bolts 10 at the lower flange 6. This assembly allows a simplified mounting and removal of the front plate of the bathtub. <IMAGE>
