摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a number of steady and high-contrast copied matters, by securing an apparent increment of the potential in terms of the lapse of time for an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor and thus giving an offset to the leak of the latent image during the development. CONSTITUTION:The photoreceptor 1 is formed by laminating the photoconductive layer 3, the intermediate layer 4 and the dielectric substance layer 5 successively on the conductive substrate 2 having the volume resistance value <=10<10>OMEGA.cm. Then the 1st electrification is applied to such photoreceptor 1 by the corona charger 6 while giving a uniform irradiation of the white light to the photoreceptor in order to secure the positive charge at the boundary between the layer 3 and the layer 5. Then the 2nd electrification is applied to invert the surface potential to the polarity of the 1st electrification. Thus a backward electric dipole is formed at the layers 5 and 3. After this, a picture exposure is given to the photoreceptor 1 under such conditions via the original 7 to form an electrostatic latent image. This latent image is developed to form a visible image 8 on the photoreceptor 1. Then the process of development-transfer-fixing is repeated to obtain a number of steady copied matters.
