The reversible rotary engine consists of double rows of pistons connected through connecting rods to a single crank shaft. Each row consists of five pistons which are arranged tangentially around the crankshaft. The cylinder block is mounted in bearings on the crankshaft and rotates through a pinion train. The exhaust and inlet manifolds are connected to the end of the rotor block and may be furnished separately for each bank of pistons. The engine may operate as a hydraulic motor or as an air engine and may have different angles for the pistons.
