A device for the automatic uncoupling of the take-up drum of an armoured roller blind from the drive element of a control gear at the end of the downward movement is composed according to the invention of a catch-like locking mechanism which is arranged between the drive element and the take-up drum and is preferably designed to include a locking wheel with internal toothing. The catch-locking mechanisms may take the form of pressure-operated locking mechanisms and be convertible to permit reversal of the locking direction. In comparison with known uncoupling devices, the device according to the invention is characterised by its simple structure and ease of application, especially in the case of worm gears, can be produced cheaply and is nevertheless extremely robust. <IMAGE>
