<p>The heat source comprises a drum rotated by an electric motor (30) and surrounded by two concentric casings. The space between the drum and the inner casing is partially filled with oil heated during rotation of the drum, while the space between the two casings is filled with the water to be heated with a water inlet at one side and a water outlet at the opposite side. Pref. the bottom part of the drum immersed in the oil has surface projections arranged symmetrically to its axis, for increasing the frictional heat generated. These projections may be hemispherical or formed as paddles. The heat source is designed to replace a conventional oil or coal boiler.</p> |
