<p>The cutting disc is coated with diamond fragments, being particularly for cutting through hard sintered ceramic materials. One or more slots (6) are formed in the cutting coating (4) at the periphery of the disc (2). The slots can be at an angle, preferably 30 deg. to the radial directions. Compared with a conventional disc, the desgin gives a faster cutting speed and longer life due to improved disc cooling.</p> |
