<p>Two stringers (1,2) and a cross yoke (3) serving as bottom rung, make up a foot piece attached to a ladder, with adaptation to slope in ground. The cross yoke, and its ladder attachment points are connected by tube(s) gripping the stringers. It is of open U-shape, with upward-swinging cover housing the mechanism for slope adaptation, which comprises end rollers (9) with movable stop elements (10) linked by rods (11) moving in a tubular unit (12) against a spring (13). Connected rods (14), hinged to the rollers, lock and unlock the stops,permitting slope adaptation, when free via a cable (16) coupled to the rollers. The system is simple and easily handled, and ensures stability.</p> |
