PURPOSE:To eliminate the irregularity in the characteristics of a brushless motor by commutating full-wave current at the Y-connected stator coil wound on the slots of a yoke within a no-voltage zone where no induced voltage exists from a rotor, thereby increasing the allowable commutating angle range. CONSTITUTION:A coil 5 is wound on the slots 3 of a stator iron core 1 having teeth 2 at a yoke 4 to form 3-phase stator coils U, V, and W, and a no-voltage zone beta where almost no induced voltage induced by the stator coils U, V and W exist upon rotation of the rotor 6 (such as, for example, a zone where no change occur in the magnetic flux at the stator coil W to induce no voltage when the magnetic flux of the rotor 6 passes the yoke 4 wound with the stator coils U, V) is formed. The stator coils U, V and W are connected in Y-connection, full-wave current is sequentially flowed through each stator coil on the basis of the output of the position detector of a predetermined rotor 6, and the commutation of each stator coil is conducted within no-voltage zone beta. |
