<p>The stop valve is for a circular-section pipe, having a slide moving up and down in a housing. A round-section sealing strip is fitted in the lower half of the opening, and the housing is shaped to fit against the lower edge of the slide. This lower edge (14) of the slide protrudes downwards (13) on both sides, while in the housing below the slide the opening is extended by rounded pockets (12), in which the protrusions on the slide fit in the shut position. These pockets can extend beyond the slide in the direction of flow.</p> |
