High voltage gas insulated current transformer - is prefabricated with primary windings protected by inner casing and secondary windings supported by insulators

The high voltage transformer housed in a gas filled casing has a primary coil housed inside a toroidal casing with its windings terminating in radial arms in star shape passing upwards. They then pass through a vertical outlet tube, with an insulator around it. Around the primary is positioned a ring shaped core carrying the secondary coil. The secondary windings are supported by a ring shaped arrangement of insulators and also insulators resting on the base of an outer shell divided into two halves. The insulators are arranged to form openings for circulation of the gas. The tubes through which the radial coil terminations pass are fitted with sleeves over the joints.
