The lower and upper horizontal carrier plate are able to slide relative to each other, by means of intervening rollers, in a bearing which absorbs vertical forces in structures. At the ends of the rollers (1) protruding beyond the plates (2,3) there are disc-shaped rims (4), rigidly connected to the rollers. Two or more cylindrical guide pins (5) are inserted in each rim, to engage recesses (6) in the plates. Dia. of pins is pref. 25%-35% of that of rollers. Guide devices are simplified and reliable, without any need for special measures for precision.
