<p>Strip-shaped blades, with continuous cutting edge, have separate slitters between them, determining chip length, with a retaining bar for slitters in a row, held in a groove along the shaft, on a machine for cutting flat wood chips. All the slitters (3) in a row form a slitter bar (1). The slitter bar is made up from strip material from which flap- shaped slitters are punched out and bent back at nearly 90 deg., so that they have an effective slitting edge (6) lying on a common circle of revolution (13), at least as wide as that (14) of the blades (12). The slitter bar can be clamped between two screwed retaining bars.</p> |
