发明名称 PLATE CATALYST FOR OXIDATION OF CO IN EXHAUST GAS
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a titled plate catalyst which is particularly suited as a constituting element for honeycomb structure catalysts by forming a coating film on a metal screen with the slurry of powdery titania carriers carrying a platinum compound and colloidal silica and drying and firing this. CONSTITUTION:A platinum compound (e.g.; H2PtCl) of 0.1-2.0wt% Pt carrying rates is carried on a titania carrier of about 8-14 meashes, and is dried and fired. Next, the powdery titania carrier carrying this platinum compound and colloidal silica are mixed to form a slurry. Thence, a metal screen of usually about 10-100 meshes is dipped in this slurry, after which it is pulled up, whereby the coating film of the slurry is formed in the meshes of the metal screen. This is dried and fired, whereby the plate catalyst for oxidation of CO in exhaust gases is prepared. A honeycomb structure catalyst may be made from this plate catalyst by superposing the corrugated ones and the flat ones at every other sheets. This catalyst is not poisoned by SO2 and does not cause the blockage of the catalyst bed and the pressure drop of flowing gas.
