The padding corner consists of an already known thin-walled plastics foil with built-in reinforcements in the form of knobs (8) or ribs (9) which project outwards and backwards. The reinforcements are positioned in foil fields (10-15) with straight run-through bending folds (16-18) fitted between them. The padding corner is formed by folding of the foil with the reinforcements of the foil fields adjoining each other when folded are formed so that their projections extending into the adjoining field always correspond with opposing back-jumping reinforced sections.
