The securing clamp for a sun visor has the visor clad in an elastic cover over the internal wire frame (3) and with the hinge formed by a pressed section of cover forming a pocket. A split sleeve (4) is clamped over the hinge section to form the hinge bearing and to secure the cover onto the wire. The split sleeve is a one piece plastic moulding with the hinge as the dividing line between the two half cylindrical sections. The free edges are clipped together with snap fastening lips to secure the fitting.
