A clock with a data punch for use in factories etc. for recording working hours achieves accurate recording. The recording is made on card using a punch head that is supported on a continuous band that loops around two guide rollers. Photoelectric sensors are used to provide alignment control over the correct stack on the card. Tape transport is provided by roller pairs that are located top and bottom over the card. The card is incremented line by line and is supported on guide plates. A process computer issues commands to control the feed of the card through the unit.
