Contact system for bimetallic switch - has blades secured to plate and resistive layer then bent for connection to bimetal strip

The contact system has two contact blades secured by rivets to an insulating plate with a securing strip on top and projecting outwards front and rear. Each blade is bent downwards towards a bimetal strip with a resistive layer on one side. The two blades are connected to a voltage source resulting in a generation of heat in the bimetal strips. The connections are made at the ends of the blades remote from the resistive layer, where they project from the insulating plate. The other ends are soldered to the resistive layer. The insulating plate can then be swung over by bending the blades so that its securing strip can be welded to the underside of the bimetal strip.
