The fuse includes a chamber filled with an arc extinguishing medium (8) through which passes the fusible element (6). Contact blades (5) project outwards from each end of the element. At each end of the body is a cover (2) through which a blade passes, secured by four screws. Inset into these two covers is an indicating device (10) connected to a fuse wire (9) parallel to the element. Projecting at right angles to the blades, are two gripping tabs (11), both on the same side of the body. The tabs are of metal, and are retained in recesses (12) in the body by the cover plates (2) which are made of insulating material.
