Sales promotion impressions on ball pens and other publicity articles, made of thermoplastic material, which are produced by printing on a metallized surface, to give a more attractive appearance, soon lose the printed impressions by scratch marks and contact with the hands. It is suggested therefore to produce first by a heated die a raised impression of the desired publicity symbol or name, followed by metallizing. Another way is to produce thermally a negative recess with raised figures on a speckled background before metallization. This results in permanent markings.
|
