PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of and the entanglement of adjacent wire materials in a device for twisting a plurality of wire materials by forming a wire material holding unit at the ends of two openable arms and mounting plates for preventing the expansion of the wire materials at the sides thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a device for twisting a plurality of wire matrials 4 such as the lead wire of a coil, two openable arms 1a, 1b are provided at the end of an actuator 6. Holding pieces 2a, 2b having grooves 3a in number corresponding to the number of the wire materials 4 are mounted at the ends of the arms 1a, 1b, and expansion preventive plates 9a, 9b are so mounted at the sides of the pieces 2a, 2b as to axially hold the wire materials 4. After the arms 1a, 1b are opened and the wire materials 4 are lightly held by the pieces 2a, 2b, the actuator 6 is rotated to twist the wire material 4. |
