An intaglio print member has a print surface formed of a polymer composition containing 0 to 20% by weight of particulate filler. The print surface is preferably formed by powder coating, followed by polishing and laser engraving. The relatively low amounts of filler reduce wear on the polishing tools. Preferably, the polymer is an epoxy composition, and the filler carbon black which lowers the laser engraving threshold. |
