<p>A cleaning apparatus for use with a coke oven has mechanisms for extracting a coke oven door from a door jamb of the coke oven, for cleaning the extracted door and for cleaning the door jamb from which the door is extracted. The door jamb cleaning mechanism comprising a first stationary frame provided with first and second scrapers movable vertically for scraping and cleaning a sealing surface and an inner surface of the door jamb. The door cleaning mechanism has carriers movable along a vertical supporting frame, radial cutter devices each having a pair of radial cutters driven in opposite directions and scrapers. The door extracting mechanism tilts the door for inspection and/or repair and has a stationary frame provided with a movable wire-suspended frame displaceable on wheels along vertical rails.</p> |
