PURPOSE:To enhance the coloring sensitivity of a recording member and raise the density of an image by forming a middle layer contg. a Co (III) complex or Co<3+> between a fixing layer contg. a Co(III) ammine or amine complex, a specified chelating agent, etc. and a specified coloring layer. CONSTITUTION:On a support a fixing layer is formed contg. a chelating agent such as a dioxime compound represented by formula I (where each of R1 and R2 is alkyl, aryl or aralkyl and n is 0-3) or a diantipyrylmethane compound represented by formula II [Where each of R1-R3 and R1'-R3' is H, alkyl or aryl and each of R4 and R5 is H, alkyl, (substituted) aryl or (substituted) aralkyl], a Co (III) ammine or amine complex, a photoreducing agent and a hydrogen donor. On the fixing layer a middle layer composed of a Co (III) complex or Co<3+> and a binder is formed, and the middle layer is covered with a coloring layer contg. a photooxidizing agent, a coupler which colors by oxidation and a coloring accelerating acid. By forming the middle layer, the resulting recording member raises the density of an image and reduces the amount of the photooxidiizing agent used. |
