<p>A new method is disclosed of anchoring an expansible bolt assembly in a blind bore of a structure, a mine roof, a rock or the like. The bore is provided with at least on radial groove which is arranged to receive a ring forming a part of the expansion bolt assembly, the bolt assembly also forming a part of the invention. The expansion ring is of malleable material which, on operation of the expansion assembly, becomes embedded in the radial groove. Thus, the invention combines an extreme simplicity of the expansion bolt assembly with considerable improvement in the anchoring effect.</p> |
