<p>PURPOSE:To make a simple barrel fixing structure for an inner tank ceiling in LNG storage tank by a method wherein a pump is fixed to a lower barrel connected to a tank bottom plate via lower extendable or shrinkable pipe, or connected to the upper barrel fixed to the inner tank via upper extendable or shrinkable pipe. CONSTITUTION:Lower barrel 15 fixed to the bottom plate 12 and upper barrel 13 fixed to the inner tank ceiling 9 are connected by the upper extendable or shrinkable pipe 19, and connected by the lower extendable or shrinkable pipe 20 via a tie rod 23 and a plate 21, and a pump 16 is stored in the lower barrel 15. Thus, when the upper barrel 13 is moved up and down as the inner tak ceiling 9 is moved up and down due to a thermal reaction in the inner tank, the upper and lower extendable or shrinkable pipes 19, 20 show a bellowslike action to absorb the upward or downward movement. Thus, a high stress is prevented from being generated in the upper and lower barrels 13, 15 and the inner tank ceiling 9, a dead load is always discharged to the ceiling 9 and the bottom plate 12. So, it is possible to provide a simple structure of the inner tank ceiling.</p> |
