PURPOSE:To enable attainment of the correct basis of direction by a method wherein the rotational angle or rotational speed around the rotary shaft of a supporting body provided with a flywheel rotating around a fixed axis is detected from an angle of slide or a speed of the angle of slide at the bearing part of the rotation of the flywheel. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted so as to bring a stable plane into a moving substance by making use of a rotational inertia force having larger energy than a stationary state and of kinetic friction having smaller frictional resistance than stationary friction, and in the case when the flywheel 11 is rotated by a motor 18 through the intermediary of a loose coupler 16, it continues to rotate without any change in rotation even when a supporting block 12 makes slow rotation at an angle theta to a fixed surface P, since the friction of bearings 13 and 14 is very small, and a mark 19 appears in the same position. Since the supporting block 12 is shifted to a position 12' shown by a solid line at this time, the angle theta of this slip is detected as the rotational angle of the supporting block 12. |
